3550 sUAS autopilot
The 3550 is a miniature version of the 3500 in a compact 2"x1" form-factor.   The 3550 includes on board AHRS and airdata sensors and comes with a pre-wired GPS & radio-modem. Advanced features include real-time waypoint control and track display on a high resolution map image.  
The 3550 was specifically designed for small, commercial UAVs and MAVs (small electric fixed-wing aircraft).  The 3550's feature set supports proposed  FAA guidelines for Group II  sUAS operations.  The autopilot is capable of operating in all weather, all terrain and on all fixed-wing aircraft.

  • Weight:  18g PCB,   36g total system
  • Power: 5.5v to 7.0v @ 250ma (autopilot + GPS + Rmodem)
  • RC channels:  ( 3 ) input, ( 2 ) output
  •  RC interface:  compatible with 3v & 5v RC receivers, digital & analog RC servos  
  • Internal AHRS:  6DOF @  1 kHz, 360deg all axes, temperature compensated 
  • GPS:  32ch @ 5 Hz (  pre-wired )
  • Radio modem:  XBeePro set, 1 mile range, USB @ GCS
  • Waypoints: 32 programmable waypoints ( LON & LAT )
  • Telemetry: 9600b, full-duplex data link ( upload data in flight )
  • Sensor Calibration: stored in FLASH
  • Data Logging: FDR ( 20 channel data recorder @ 1Hz )
  • Fault detection: lost Link, lost GPS & sensor failure
  • Map display:  real-time navigation and  position display on high resolution maps

 

 

Recommended for fixed-wing aircraft with a gross weight of 1 ~ 5 lb.
Requires a laptop computer for the groundstation.

This autopilot system has been classified 9A012 by the US Commerce Department and requires an export license ( except Canada ).
