The 3550 is a reduced feature set version of the UNAV3500 in a 2"x1" form-factor.   The 3550 includes an on board IMU and pre-wired SiRF-III GPS and XBeePro ( 1 mile ) radio modem. Advanced features include real-time waypoint control and track display on a high resolution map image.  The 3550 was specifically designed for small, commercial UAVs (small electric fixed-wing aircraft).  The 3550's feature set supports proposed  FAA guidelines for Group II  sUAS operations.  This autopilot is capable of operating in all weather, all terrain and on all fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Small Size: 2.0” x 1.0” x 0.5”  @  18g PCB  ( 36g complete system )
  • Power: 5.5v to 7.0v @ 250ma (autopilot + GPS + Rmodem)
  • RC channels:  ( 3 ) input, ( 2 ) output
  •  RC interface:  compatible with 3v & 5v RC receivers, digital & analog RC servos  
  •  AHRS:  5DOF IMU @  1 kHz
  • GPS:  32ch @ 5 Hz (  pre-wired )
  • Radio modem:  XBeePro, RS232 or USB ground interface ( pre-wired )
  • Waypoints: 32 non-volatile waypoint storage ( LON, LAT )
  • Telemetry: 9600b, full-duplex data link ( upload data in flight )
  • Sensor Calibration: stored in FLASH
  • Data Logging: FDR ( 20 channel data recorder @ 1Hz ) 
  • Fault detection: lost Link, lost GPS & sensor failure
  • Map display:  real-time navigation and  position display on high resolution maps

Suitable for planes weighing 1~5 lbs

Requires a laptop computer for the groundstation.


This autopilot system has been classified 9A012 by the US Commerce Department and requires an export license ( except Canada ).
