PICOPILOT-RTL

The PICOPILOT-RTL (return-to-launch) is a low cost GPS navigation controller with built in roll control (wing leveling).  The system includes a  navigation board, GPS receiver, all in one small shrink-wrapped package. The -RTL is ideal for RC hobbists and AP operators who want a safety, backup navigation system for those extended visual range flights. The -RTL will automatically navigate your plane back to the launch location when it's enabled.  You can also setup your "Fail-Safe" RC receiver to enable the -RTL when the RC receiver loses the command signal, providing an automatic "return to launch" function.

PICOPILOT was designed for rudder-only, electric motor-gliders (without ailerons ) but it can be adapted to control slow, stable planes (with ailerons).  Since the -RTL doesn't use horizon sensing, it works in all weather and terrain conditions. It even works  inside clouds so you can use it as a safety backup for those high altitude glider flights.
